Manifesto of the Happy Artist (∞-∞)
for the ones who play hard and feel too much.
for the ones who turn chaos into culture, and culture back into chaos.
if you came to shake things up, keep reading.
if you came to play it safe, this is your exit.
- have a blast. joy is not the reward. joy is the method.
- beauty is not objective. stop asking for permission.
- find the system. take it apart. put it back upside down.
- say your love and your hate out loud, until strangers recognize themselves in it.
- carry your roots, your fears, your desires. they are the only original material you own.
- irony is the weapon. confusion is the door. attention is the currency. whoever owns the spotlight wins.
- call out capitalism. then beat it at its own game.
- speak the language everyone already knows: pop culture, clichés, shared dreams. then say what no one expected.
- make it rare. make them want it. never sell an empty box.
- make things people can wear, use, join. the crowd is not the audience. the crowd is the work.
- wake up the child you were: play, wonder, lightness. that is the real magic.
- knock people off balance. a shifted point of view is the only souvenir worth taking home.
- be your own muse. no one else is coming.
- protect what’s yours.
- be bold, not balanced. playing it safe is creative death.
- create more than you consume.
- be prolific. prolific. prolific.
and when they ask you for the secret,
don’t explain.
show them the work.
that’s how you stay happy.
